That moment planted a seed that would grow into a twenty-year career as a television news producer. NBC, CBS, PBS affiliates across the Southeast. Charlotte. Columbia. Executive morning producer. Thousands of stories. Millions of homes reached. I learned exactly what makes people lean in versus tune out.
But after two decades of amplifying other voices, I asked myself a different question: What about mine?
Seven years ago, I walked away from the stability of traditional media with no safety net. My first videos had twelve views. I hated my voice. Thought I was too much. I showed up anyway.
That mess became my message.
Today, the same networks where I once produced stories now put me in front of their cameras. The Today Show. CBS. NBC. Tamron Hall. Not luck. Twenty years of knowing exactly which questions make people lean in.
TV news trained me. But live video made me.
